Help Meaghers Pharmacy help those experiencing homelessness

Meaghers have set themselves the ambitious target of raising €50,000 for Peter McVerry Trust this Christmas with their #WrapUpHomelessness campaign. Meaghers have already donated over €136,000 to this worthy charity.

This Christmas, Irish company Meaghers Pharmacy is asking its customers to come together and embrace the season of giving by supporting its #WrapUpHomelessness campaign. This campaign enables vulnerable people and families that have fallen into homelessness to step into a brighter future for 2021.

Meaghers Pharmacy has been in partnership with Peter McVerry Trust for a number of years and has already donated €136,618 through various fundraising initiatives. This money has facilitated the kit-out of 16 beautiful new homes and has supported 20 people transitioning out of homelessness.

And now Meaghers Pharmacy has increased its efforts to give back and set itself the ambitious target of €50,000 to raise over the festive season.

Oonagh O’ Hagan, Managing Director of the Meagher Pharmacy Group, says:

“With your support again this year, we can help more people leave homelessness behind, and move on to a brighter future. A new home is often a milestone for someone in the journey out of homelessness. With support from the Peter Mc Verry Trust team, it can mean accessing education, learning a new skill, or developing their career path.”

Nell Ward, Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy at Peter McVerry Trust stated “We are delighted to be part of Meagher’s Wrap Up Homelessness initiative again this year. Each gift customers have wrapped, both in store and online, is a direct contribution to our work to end homelessness across Ireland. With the support of Meaghers Pharmacy, we will be able to help even more people on their pathway out of homelessness this Christmas, and onto a new chapter in their lives’.”

How can you get involved?
