Meaghers Pharmacy Group is partnering with food delivery firm Just Eat and Spanish technology start-up LUDA Partners so their customers can order pharmacy products and have them delivered to their doorstep by Just Eat.
Just Eat, which has 1.1 million subscribers in Ireland, has been expanding into other sectors with a delivery-as-a-service model.
LUDA Partners, whose technology makes it seamless for Irish pharmacies to sell their products through Just Eat, entered the Irish market last year. Meaghers has become the first pharmacy chain in Ireland to adopt their service.
Meaghers customers can now order pharmacy products online.
LUDA Partners was founded in 2017 to facilitate pharmacies in sourcing scarce medications and to help them introduce digitalisation.
It provides the technology that makes it possible for pharmacies to sell through Just Eat and expand their reach beyond their physical locations.
No investment in transport infrastructure or complex technology is required as the entire integration process with the platform is simple and fast.
In an increasingly digitalised trading environment, collaborating with Just Eat allows Meaghers to gain further digital visibility beyond the company’s own highly successful online platform meaghers.ie.
Just Eat offers a proven and secure business model. With years of experience in delivery services, it guarantees efficient logistics, allowing pharmacies to focus on providing high-quality products and services.
To avail of the service, there is a minimum order value of €10 and a delivery fee of €1.99, with orders worth over €15 delivered free.
