Brian O’Sullivan is a Pharmacist from Gannons Life Pharmacy in Limerick. He was nominated by several members of his local community for always going above and beyond.

For one customer in particular, this meant providing care and out-of-hours advice for one patient after an accident at work. They told Irish Pharmacy News, “My husband suffered an injury whilst at work during the weekend. As we couldn’t get an appointment with the local GP practice, we turned to Brian.

“He was able to give excellent advice which allowed my husband to be able to get home as Brian provided all the necessary medications and support until he was able to see his Doctor on the Monday morning.

“Despite the pharmacy being closed on the Sunday, Brian made the extra effort to call and check-in to ensure everything was OK.

“Further to this, I myself take long-term medication, which was recently changed with the new prescription sent to the pharmacy via Health Mail. Upon arriving at the pharmacy to collect my medication, Brian was on hand to thoroughly explain the new prescription and to make sure I was confident and aware. He genuinely treats all his customers like family and been a true health hero to so many over the years.”
