As winter approaches, Boots announces the launch of its Winter Flu Vaccination Services to help support community health nationwide. Last season saw nearly 17,000 confirmed flu cases in Ireland, with over 4,000 hospitalisations*. Getting the flu vaccination is a crucial step in helping to stay healthy throughout this winter period.
This year, Boots Pharmacies across the country are offering the following Winter Vaccination Services^:
- Combined appointment for Flu and COVID-19 Autumn Booster Vaccination for adults
- Nasal Flu Vaccination for children (available free of charge for those aged two to 17)
- Flu Vaccination for those aged 18 and above
- COVID-19 Vaccination for those aged 12 and above
To check your eligibility and book your vaccination, visit boots.ie/flu. The flu vaccination service at Boots is free of charge for persons for whom vaccination is recommended by the HSE~, which includes all persons aged 60 years and over (a new lower age limit this year), otherwise there is a charge of €35. Eligible adults can conveniently book an appointment to get both flu and COVID-19 vaccinations at the same time. There is no charge for COVID-19 vaccination.
Booking an appointment is as easy as visiting boots.ie/flu, selecting your preferred location, date and time, and completing an online pre-consultation form. Then, simply go to your chosen store for your vaccination where our expert pharmacists will take care of you.
