Blackberry hearing secures Uniphar deal

Blackberry Hearing and Uniphar Partner to expand free hearing consultations nationwide.

Blackberry Hearing, a premier Irish-owned and operated hearing aid provider, has secured a significant partnership deal with Uniphar. This collaboration enables Uniphar pharmacies across Ireland to offer customers free hearing consultations conducted by Blackberry Hearing audiologists. The initial rollout commenced in March 2025 and now covers 59 convenient pharmacy locations nationwide, with further expansion planned throughout the year. Pharmacies involved are McCauley, Hickey’s Pharmacy, Allcare Pharmacy, and Life Pharmacy. Relevant pharmaceutical names known with local Irish communities.

Each pharmacy will prominently feature Blackberry Hearing point-of-sale materials, banners, and informational leaflets. Ultimately spreading awareness on the importance of hearing health. Additionally, pharmacy staff have received dedicated training tailored to help identify the early signs of hearing loss and understand the broader health implications associated with untreated hearing conditions.

Matt Gleeson, Managing Director at Blackberry Hearing, said “This collaboration now gives more people access to better hearing health, especially as McCauley, Allcare Pharmacy, Hickey’s Pharmacy and Life Pharmacy are highly engaged with the communities in which they operate. Our continued expansion underscores our commitment to innovation, superior technology, and exceptional customer experiences. We aim to set new standards in hearing healthcare across Ireland.”

Louise Martin, Uniphar Retail Lead: “Our pharmacies are trusted, community-focused healthcare hubs, dedicated to providing a comprehensive range of health services. We’re delighted to partner with Blackberry Hearing to further support our customers by improving access to high-quality hearing care.”

This initiative highlights the increasing importance of accessible hearing healthcare and reinforces the role of community pharmacies as essential touchpoints in early diagnosis and preventative care.
