Mr Nick Panay joins The Menopause Hub as Medical Advisor

The Menopause Hub, Ireland’s first and only dedicated multidisciplinary menopause clinic, announces today the appointment of Mr Nick Panay, Consultant Gynaecologist with a Special Interest in Reproductive Medicine, Menopause, PMS/PMDD, Contraception and Gynaecological Endocrinology, as Medical Advisor to the company.


“We are delighted that the internationally renowned and highly talented menopause expert Mr Nick Panay is joining our team at The Menopause Hub, adding his impressive skill set and expertise to our growing service”, said Dr Conor Harrity, Medical Director at The Menopause Hub and Consultant Gynaecologist in Beaumont and Rotunda Hospitals.


Mr Nick Panay responded, “I very much look forward to collaborating with the excellent service at The Menopause Hub, which provides vitally important information and support for women in Ireland with problems associated with the menopause transition and beyond”.

Nick has been actively campaigning for women’s health issues, nationally and international for many years. We look forward to advocating, campaigning, caring and managing women’s menopause together” said Loretta Dignam, Founder & CEO of the Menopause Hub.


As Director of the West London Menopause & PMS Centre at Queen Charlotte’s & Chelsea and Chelsea & Westminster Hospitals, and Imperial College London, Nr Nick Panay heads a busy clinical and research team which publishes widely, presents at scientific meetings and trains health professionals at all levels. Much of his team’s research has focused on improving the understanding and management of Premature Menopause, PMS/PMDD, Female Sexual Dysfunction, and new HRT, Contraceptive, Complementary and Alternative Therapies.


Nick is President Elect of the International Menopause Society (IMS) and was Co Editor-in-Chief of Climacteric (The Journal of the IMS) and is now on the editorial board of Climacteric. He is on the medical advisory council of the British Menopause Society. His other affiliations include: Director of the International Centre for Hormone Health (Hormone Health), Past President and Council Member, The Royal Society of Medicine (O & G Division), Past Honorary Director of Conferences and Council Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in the UK, Past Chair of The British Menopause Society, Chair of The National Association for Premenstrual Syndromes and Patron of Daisy Network (Premature Menopause Society).


Through his work with a number of councils and women’s groups he campaigns actively for women’s health issues both nationally and internationally.

The Menopause is Ireland’s first and only dedicated multidisciplinary menopause clinic. An evidenced based clinic, with a team consisting of gynaecologists, GPs, a psychologist, a dietitian & nutritionist, women’s health physio and acupuncturist.
