Caring For Babies’ Skin with the World’s Purest Wipes

WaterWipes, creator of the world’s purest baby wipes, has grown from its humble beginnings in Drogheda, Co. Louth to become the number one brand in its product category, available in all leading retailers.  The Irish brand has grown rapidly and is now available in over 50 countries globally, reaching the U.S., Canada, Germany, France and the UAE to name a few.

Creator Edward McCloskey was a concerned father whose daughter suffered from irritated and sensitive skin.  After researching the contents of the products he was using on her skin, he realised the chemicals in these products could be the cause of his daughter’s skin irritations.  This inspired Edward to set out to create a baby wipe that was kind to his baby’s skin using only pure and natural ingredients.  After years of testing and scientific research, the perfect baby wipes, WaterWipes, were born.  Pure, gentle and safe to use on the most delicate skin – even premature babies – yet as effective as a regular baby wipe.

The success of the brand is partly due to its commitment to its core values, which align with their customers’ key concerns – honesty, purity, and a product that gives parents confidence that they will never have to compromise on their baby’s skin.  WaterWipes understands that a baby’s skin is much more delicate than that of an adult, so it should be cleaned with the gentlest essentials possible. That is why WaterWipes, the world’s purest baby wipes, are made with just 99.9% water and a drop of fruit extract.

WaterWipes with Soapberry

In late 2018, WaterWipes introduced a new wipe for growing babies who are starting to explore food and the world around them.  WaterWipes with Soapberry are made with 99.9% water plus a drop of fruit and Soapberry extract, providing parents with the purity they rely on from WaterWipes, while harnessing the natural cleaning properties of Soapberry.

WaterWipes believes that there is never a good time to start putting chemicals on a baby’s skin, so WaterWipes with Soapberry are tough on mess but kind on a baby’s delicate skin – allowing parents to clean and care without compromise.

With 57% of consumers now purchasing natural products due to their lack of unnecessary ingredients or chemicals, parents can be assured that WaterWipes have the purest of ingredients in their wipes.

WaterWipes are recommended by 97% of midwives for use on newborn baby’s skin, and as a suitable alternative to cotton wool and water. Both WaterWipes and WaterWipes with Soapberry are accredited by Allergy UK.

WaterWipes Brand Manager UK & Ireland, David Lawlor says “We have created the world’s purest and most naturally effective wipes for newborns and growing babies, which are now selling in over 50 countries making them more widely available to families across the globe.  We’ve come a long way in the past seven years, but we still act with the same entrepreneurial spirit and determination to find a better way and have more exciting news coming soon from the brand, which we can’t wait to share.”

WaterWipes and WaterWipes with Soapberry are available in all major Irish retailers, and are proud winners of a number of baby and parenting awards.
