Irish Pharmacy Union Welcomes Publication of the Community Pharmacy Agreement 2025

Book online at boots.ie/vaccinations

Dublin, 23/09/2025

Getting the flu vaccination is a crucial step in helping to stay healthy throughout the winter period. COVID-19, Pneumococcal and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Vaccinations are also important, supporting broader protection for individuals and reducing the risk of serious illness within the community.

Appointments are now available to book in Boots Pharmacies across the country for the following Winter Vaccination Services:

  • Combined appointment for Flu and COVID-19 Vaccination for those aged 18 and above
  • Nasal Flu Vaccination for children (available free of charge for those aged two to 17)
  • Flu Vaccination for those aged 18 and above
  • COVID-19 Vaccination for those aged 12 and above
  • Pneumococcal Vaccination (recommended for those aged 65 and over, or those aged 18 to 65 with certain health conditions)
  • RSV Vaccination for those aged 65 and above

To check your eligibility and book your vaccination, visit boots.ie/vaccinations.

The flu vaccination service at Boots is free of charge for persons for whom vaccination is recommended by the HSE~, which includes all persons aged 60 years and over, otherwise there is a charge of €35. There is no charge for COVID-19 vaccinations. Eligible adults can conveniently book an appointment at a location, date and time that suits them to get both flu and COVID-19 vaccinations at the same time by visiting boots.ie/vaccinations. Then, simply go to your chosen store for your vaccination where our expert pharmacists will take care of you.

“The colder months bring a higher risk of viral illness, and vaccines provide protection to help you and those around you, stay well. Flu strains can change from year to year, which means last year’s vaccination may not protect you from this season’s flu strains. Over time, protection from the flu vaccination also decreases, which is another reason to keep up to date with your flu vaccinations. At Boots, we’re offering a comprehensive range of winter vaccination services as well as expert advice from our pharmacists to ensure our customers are well prepared for the season ahead” says Caoimhe McAuley, Director of Pharmacy and Superintendent Pharmacist at Boots.

With a wide network of stores nationwide and user-friendly online booking system at boots.ie/vaccinations, getting vaccinated is easy and convenient.
